About Us

Hi I am Sandra Donaldson, founder and principal consultant for Donaldson Resources, a web design firm located in northeast Ohio. I have an extensive background in sales and marketing that includes development and implementation of strategic marketing initiatives in a variety of areas such as manufacturing, retail and service-related sectors.

Prior to launching Donaldson Resources, I spent 14 years as a corporate Marketing and Sales Director with the Ball Corporation.

How I got in the Auto Glass Marketing Business. . .

As a kid I grew up in the auto glass business, my mom was the bookkeeper for a local auto glass shop. So I learned the business early on by working in the office answering phones, then moving into customer service, and becoming the manager for a local branch in my hometown. I did not continue to work in the auto glass business, for about 15 years I worked for the Ball Corporation learning the ins and outs of sales and marketing.

In 1994 I started my own marketing consulting company which transformed into the web design firm that we are today. In that process I provided many business plans, marketing communications, company logos and websites for a long list of auto glass shops.

Today, auto glass retailers make up about 30% of my portfolio, and it continues to grow.

Why the BLOG?

The sole purpose of this blog is to share with auto glass shops some of the marketing insight I have gained over the years. My primary focus these days is Internet-based marketing, and quite honestly many auto glass shops have not begun to tap into the benefits of marketing online. You’ll find lots of interesting, and sometimes useful information to create a stronger position for your auto glass shop in the market you serve.
